Clare uses the antiquated computer-drawing programme Claris Works to create gestural drawings, which are then projected and painted onto canvases. These create “grids” that can be either meticulously adhered to
or broken free from using expressive brush strokes. The paintings are created using
a combination of acrylic, spray paint and black lacquer.
